Listening
How does hypnosis audio work?
You listen in a relaxed state while the guided session talks you through calming suggestions and imagery. All you do is get comfortable and press play.
What happens in a session?
You settle in, the voice guides you into a relaxed state, then talks you through calming suggestions and imagery for the topic you've chosen. Most sessions end by bringing you gently back to feeling alert. Sleep sessions let you drift off instead.
How long are the sessions?
It varies by session. The length is shown on each session's page before you buy.
How often should I listen?
As often as you like. You might listen every day, or just when you need it. There's no set schedule.
Can I listen before bed?
Yes. Our sleep sessions are made for bedtime. Get settled, press play, and let yourself drift off.
What should I do if I'm interrupted?
Just stop the session and come back to it later. You stay aware the whole time, so you can respond to anything that needs you.
Downloads and devices
When do I get my session?
Straight after payment. Your download link appears on the order confirmation page and in your confirmation email.
What format are the files?
MP3. It's the most widely supported audio format, so your session plays in the standard music or files app on any phone, tablet or computer, with nothing extra to install.
How do I download on an iPhone or iPad?
- Open the download link from your confirmation email or order page in Safari.
- Tap Download when asked.
- Open the Files app and go to Downloads. Tap the session to play it.
In Files, you can tap and hold the session to move it somewhere easy to find.
How do I download on Android?
Tap the download link. The file saves to your Downloads folder and plays in any music or files app.
How do I download on a computer?
Click the download link. The file saves to your Downloads folder and plays in your usual media player.
Does my download link expire?
No. There's no download limit and no expiry, so you can download it again whenever you need to.
I've lost my download link. What should I do?
Look for your order confirmation email, which has the link. If you can't find it, email us from the address you used to buy and we'll send it again.
Do I need an account?
No. You can buy as a guest. Your download link comes by email.
Can I listen offline?
Yes. Once the file is on your device, you don't need an internet connection.
Safety
Is it safe?
Guided hypnosis is a gentle, relaxing experience. You stay in control throughout and can stop whenever you like. If you have a diagnosed mental health condition, check with your GP first.
Who shouldn't use hypnosis audio?
Please don't use it if you:
- are driving, cycling or using machinery. Only listen when it's safe to close your eyes.
- have epilepsy or a seizure disorder
- have psychosis or a condition where your sense of reality can be affected
What if I feel uncomfortable during a session?
Stop the recording, open your eyes and take a few slow breaths. You're in control the whole time. If a session doesn't feel right for you, don't carry on with it, and talk to your GP if you have any concerns.
A note on your health
Hypnosis audio isn't a replacement for medical or psychological care. If you have a mental health condition, or you're under a doctor's care, check with your GP before you start. If you're struggling right now, talk to your GP, or call Samaritans free on 116 123, any time.
Orders and refunds
How do I pay?
By debit or credit card, or with PayPal, at checkout. Payments are handled securely by Stripe and PayPal, and we never see your full card details.
Can I get a refund?
Because sessions are digital downloads, the usual 14-day right to cancel ends once your download starts, as you agree at checkout. If a file is faulty or won't play, tell us and we'll put it right.
What if my file won't download or play?
Email us with your order number and what's happening. We'll send a working file, or refund you if we can't fix it.
Can I share a session with someone else?
Each session is for your own personal use, so please don't copy or share the file. If someone else would like to listen, they can buy their own copy.
